Sports Camp Family Celebration and Picnic

Following the 4 days of Sports Camp, we had a celebration program and picnic Thursday evening at church. The World Premier of the Victory Strength Team was a highlight of the evening. Two of the guys are from our church!

Mike (curling 135 lbs. 12 times) just happens to be an amazing guitarist on the worship team, too
Following each of their feats of strength, the guys shared Bible verses that help them in life and in training

This guy is 5' 2", 160 lbs. and he's squating 500 lbs. 8 times
How about lifting 700 lbs 7 or 8 times?
The finale was Gary, who was one of the volunteer sports camp directors, breaking through these bricks with Chris Tomlin's Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) playing

Pastor Dan shared the Gospel with everyone
While the kids at the morning camp enjoyed the celebration in the worship center, the afternoon campers enjoyed a free picnic in the family life center. A storm kept them inside instead of under the big tent outside but hotdogs, chips, cookies, cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones can be just as much fun to eat inside!

Then the two groups switched so everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the evening (and it was still crowded in both places!) An amazing night! (...and Kraig did a great job in the tech booth for the program, too!)
