Our family has come a long way in the world of TV watching since living in MN. When we lived there, we chose to save money by just having basic cable, which gave us about 10 channels. After moving to IA, we upgraded to make sure we could see the Vikings and Twins games. The number of channels kind of blew me away at first. Too many options and not enough time to watch them anyway.
Now when we moved here we upgraded again. We decided as a family that instead of going out every month or two to the theatre for a live movie, we'd splurge on cable and enjoy more movies at home and wait for them to be available at Redbox (only $1!). This time we upgraded to both Digital and the HDTV package. I can't believe the clarity in the picture with HDTV. Watching sporting events is now better than actually being there (except for not having that atmosphere). ~Kristin
