Today was the day Michael's been looking forward to for a long time. The 5th graders are ending their elementary careers and next Fall will begin the next step .... middle school!
They celebrate with an entire day away from the classroom - class picture, t-shirt, "Speed Racer" movie at the mall, rec time at a local college, entertainment back at school, "moving on" ceremony and a balloon launch!
Unfortunately for Michael, at 5:30 this morning he threw up (all over the carpet-yuck!) and instead spent the day at home with me. We did watch a couple of movies - Crocodile Hunter and Star Wars. Not quite the same, though, ha?
At least he knows tomorrow is the LAST day of elementary school and Thursday will be his first day of summer vacation!! YEAH!!
