Some Things This May

There is something about May and teenagers that seem to make for a really busy month...we had that and some fun surprises too!

Kristin's cousin Jen and her husband, Mike, came to town for a conference. They arrived a day early so we got to spend the first night they were here downtown together. It was so nice to see them both. I don't think we'd ever just spent much time with the two of them alone. Then Kristin also picked them up so they could go to church with us Sunday and go to lunch before taking them to the airport. - Kraig
May also means a bunch of concerts...here's the eighth grade band. They also had a large group contest we traveled to. Tim had a high school band concert, and we came back again for Michael's jazz band concert.
Yup...surprise... some soccer. We're still amazed at how much Michael has improved this year. He's a defender and once his coach settled with him at that position, his team really started to gel. They didn't win many games, but they were all close at the end.

Tim really enjoyed being part of a new U17 league this year. It was coed teams. Tim plays defense on his high school team, but sure had fun playing forward, mid and center...so he had some great chances (and a lot of success) to score goals.
Tim's spring Choir concert. They usually wear tuxes, but went for the relaxed look for this one.

In addition to all the concerts, we had band awards, choir awards, track banquets for each of the boys and Michael was invited to a "Bear" awards banquet for 7th graders who had a 3.5 plus GPA all year. Kristin also snuck in an evening with her friend Melody who was in Pittsburgh. They met halfway in Youngstown. Again, it was quite a month!
