Basement Remodel - Family Room - FINAL!!!

This is the view looking at a wall we demoed. It's a cement block wall that was non-bearing. It's the whole reason we borrowed a dump truck. I'm standing with my right shoulder against the wall that we knocked out next to the steps. We had debated leaving this up so we had three small rooms down-stairs. The third room would have been a dedicated music and video production room for the kids. We decided we needed a larger room for the kids to have friends over and this will be a fantastic room for us to host small groups, etc. So, out with the wall and...
...here is the result! We were so glad we went with the larger, open concept. My brother told me about the oak wrap for the pole.
This photo is from the same place the first two photos were taken. On the right is the stair wall that was removed.
We will eventually get some furniture and a larger tv down here...but this works for now!
The door on the left goes into the "soccer room". The door on the right is the bedroom where you all can stay when you come and visit us!
