Basement Remodel - Soccer Room - FINAL!!!

No, this isn't the soccer room...but it's close. You're actually standing in the laundry room. The bathroom is the door to the right and you are looking at the back side of the steps.
Here is a different angle of the same area. To the left is a wall and door I added to the area by the back side of the steps. Straight ahead is the bathroom door (finished bathroom was already here), and the laundry room (not finished-sorry Kristin) is on the right. One fun feature is I installed speakers (on left side of picture) in the soccer room and connected them to the sound system in the family room so that we can hook up an ipod, play a CD or have ESPN on TV and listen in this room...there is a volume control here also.
And the soccer room. It was 47' long. The ceiling was already installed; however, I had to cut back about 4" around the perimeter so that I could insulate all of the rim joists and have a place to anchor the 2x4 walls to the ceiling joists when we put those up. The windows were interesting to finish. After a lot of debate, we lined them with 3/8" plywood and thin-coated joint compound over them.
To make it work for soccer, my brother suggested adding 1/2" OSB (kind of like plywood) behind the sheetrock at the ends of the room so we can kick soccer balls as hard as we want. Remember, Tim used a soccer ball for a "demolition tool". The OSB works great.
Bathroom/laundry is on the left. The door at the end goes into our 6' x 13' storage room that is completed lined wall-to wall with shelves. That storage space means this room is only 41' long. Michael still wasn't happy, but would you believe we haven't heard him even mention this "becoming such a small room"?
To the left side of this photo, there is a corner where Tim and Michael requested that we build an angled wall a little way up so the soccer balls don't get stuck there. Well, that worked great...and when Tim had a bunch of friends over, it was kind of funny as all their cell phones were put there when they played soccer...hadn't planned on that...but hey...why not!?
