Then Monday it was our turn to have some friends over for dinner outside. The rain came before we had a bonfire and made smores, but it was still a great evening to cap off a fun weekend! - Kraig

breaking in the house!
The basement passed it's final inspection and our calendar opened up a little bit...so it was time to have some fun!!! This past Saturday night, Tim had some high school friends over. They started with soccer in the basement, played Apples to Apples then headed outside for basketball, football, a little trampoline and of course with the incredible weather we had...they roasted hot dogs on the fire and made smores, too. Austin brought what I think must be the worlds largest marshmallows ever!!!

The previous night, Michael finally got to have the sleepover he'd been trying to line up for a couple of months. Our schedule was always full, and finally we were home! He was so excited all week for Friday night and did they ever use all the time they had for fun! They truly broke in the basement...and the upstairs. One of the really cool things is that all these boys except one live within a couple blocks of us. When they were upstairs, Kristin, Tim and I headed downstairs to get out of their way and watch our own movie.
The ping pong table got some great use while the other guys were playing a fun game that Tim and Michael created called handball.

It was so amazing for me to see the house get used for what we bought if for and remodeled it for. It's a place to make our home. It is now truly our home, and we feel so blessed that God allowed us to have it and to give us the opportunity and skills to turn it into such of functional place!

This reminds me of the parties we used to have in our basement when I was a teen in the youth group!
