basement remodel update #4

One year ago today we moved into our home. Now the house is again a mess, but this time due to the construction/remodeling as opposed to the boxes being unloaded from the truck! Here are more pics of the work.

The 4 guys sheetrock the bedroom ceiling
Once the ceiling was finished, Grandpa started the walls
and later taping

this is a view of the family room from near the steps
the same room from the other side...the steps to go up are on the very left side, the doorway ahead to the right is the bedroom, the doorway ahead to the left is the rec room where you can see Kraig in there working
Grandma in the rec room staining doors this is the mess caused by Grandpa sanding the walls in the rec room after taping... he's actually in the center of the pic, but you can hardly even see him!
this area is off to the side of the rec room...to the right is the laundry room, ahead is the bathroom and off to the left is a storage area (under the steps) where the ping pong table will be stored...Grandma was working hard as usual!
We can't even describe how much help Kraig's parents have been for us the past 2 weeks. They left yesterday morning for home, so the rest of the work is now in our hands. Progress will slow down since Kraig will just have a couple of days each week to work on it, plus an evening here and there.

Today is parent-teacher conferences at my school, so while the boys and Kraig are at work and school I am cleaning some of the dust on the main level of the house caused by the construction, catching up on laundry and enjoying a day to myself at home!
