pics of our new home

since many of you keep asking for pictures, here's a little bit of a virtual tour of our new home! there's a little painting to do in the dining room and family room and a lot of work in the basement for this spring. basically when you walk in the front door all three bedrooms are lined up along the right side of the house and then the dining, kitchen & family rooms all flow from the living room. the boys rooms will get organized more this weekend, so I'll post their pictures next week.

eventually we may take out that little closet (there's a huge one next to that dresser) to add a shower to the master bath, but then we'd also lose our front entry closet which is behind this bedroom closet

there's a great view of the backyard from the kitchen sink

as usual the computer is in the kitchen but this time it's sort of in the family room too

to the right of the computer is the fireplace (we'll convert it from wood burning to gas, it's actually never been used). we'll hopefully get a rug and something for the wall in the family room soon, and then we can tie it together with rugs in the other areas. the door goes to the garage

rec room downstairs. the boys have it set up for their nerf gun field with the boxes for their barriers to hide behind

3/4 bath and laundry downstairs. the bathroom is the only completely finished room in the basement. there's another really large room downstairs that has the rest of the boxes, Christmas, camping and other storage stuff. it will become the music/video room with the drum set, keyboard and guitars there plus a wall painted green for their "green screen".
