Mission Accomplished!!!

On Friday a friend of mine and I completed our latest goal toward regaining our youth (well, maybe we just like a good excuse to talk for hours!!). Anyway...we succeeded in biking our first ever one day century ride (100 miles)! It was a great ride with no mishaps. Just 30 more miles of hills than we expected and some heat to contend with. But other than that, the ride included a bunch of granola bars, fruit, water, a few 5-minute breaks, a stop at about 60 miles in Wynot - we saw the little town and said, "why-not stop", a lunch stop in Crofton at 75 miles and just a bunch of hours of pedaling (and yes, plenty of talking)!

We rolled in at the lake near Yankton around 3:30 pm to a great welcoming committee waiting (our families). Then we had a great day at the beach, spent the night in town and then hung out for a second beach day...

Now all that's left is to set the next goal...hmmm...so many roads to ride...
