basement remodel update #5

Last weekend Kraig began another phase of the project - taking out part of the wall by the stairs. We'd been debating the pros (not having a long narrow stairway going down, more light into the stairway from below, making the family room look bigger, etc.) and cons (mainly just the extra time and expense) for several weeks. The decision was we'd regret it later if we didn't! the sheetrock was removed from the basement side
the sheetrock is off, next is to take down the 2x4's...
