much music!

Michael has been spending many more hours with his trombone the past few weeks after being asked to join the 7th grade band and the 8th grade band for their concerts in December. Quite an honor for a 6th grader! I'm not sure what Tim really thinks of Michael being in his band though... Michael also started jazz band! This has been wonderful bonding time for Kraig and Michael together as they practice and an opportunity for Kraig to get his trombone chops back in shape!

The past few weeks Tim had over half a dozen extra practices before/after school for the Northwest Iowa Honor Choir Concert, which was held the evening of Nov. 4 (yes - election day) in Storm Lake. He said the best part of missing that day from school as they rehearsed for many hours (and traveled over an hour one way) was eating out for lunch and supper and hanging with his friends, but the rest of the day was boring. So much for him enjoying the honor....

Meanwhile, how do I get them to practice their piano? I haven't heard it used much lately.
