Pro Football Hall of Fame

Last weekend when my parents were here we visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They were both decked out in their Vikings attire! a display of Vikings' Chris Carter memorabilia the great Vikings' coach Bud Grant we discussed how this display of Dan Marino records will need to be changed since Brett Favre has broken most of them
2 Viking legends Fran Tarkenton and Alan Page
This display mentions the records for most field goals in a game. One is from 1989 when Vikings' kicker Rich Karlis kicked 7 field goals to beat the LA Rams 23-21. Rich was known for kicking barefoot, which is why he doesn't have a shoe displayed like the other 3 kickers. The cool thing for me finding this display is that Kraig and I were at that game! Our MSU, Mankato (college) marching band performed for halftime and postgame. Many people remember that season for our bad Herschel Walker trade. We actually enjoyed watching Herschel while standing on the sidelines with the band, but obviously it wasn't enough to score any touchdowns!
The highlight for our family at the Hall of Fame was finding the picture of my dad's first cousin's son, Stephen Neal. He is a starting offensive lineman for the New England Patriots. This display had a picture of Stephen holding a newspaper after they won their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years. The display has autographed footballs by Tom Brady from the games.
the closeup of Stephen's pic....
Their Super Bowl rings are huge! (they got much larger over the years since Super Bowl I) Here's a pic of one...
Of course we enjoyed the actual Hall of Fame with the busts of all the players, coaches, etc. who have been inducted. We also liked the display of each team. It shows a helmet and their history, highlights, stats, retired jerseys, etc. I found the history of football interesting, but amazingly Tim was bored with that. He enjoyed the film "Road to the Super Bowl" that highlighted last year's game.
The guys enjoyed some time outside playing football too!!
